The NAF Hotline is the only toll-free source of personalized support and unbiased, factual information about abortion in the U.S. and Canada. We receive over 3,000 calls a month in English, Spanish, and French from women, their partners, families and friends. The Hotline offers information about pregnancy and abortion; confidential, non-judgmental support; referrals to quality abortion providers; referrals to funding sources; help in understanding state abortion restrictions; and case management for women in difficult situations.
Every day we hear from women who lack the resources to pay for an abortion. Donations to our NAF Rachel Falls Patient Assistance Fund allow us to provide financial assistance when it is urgently needed, or when women need specialized medical attention. In addition, NAF members often reduce their fees or provide free services.

NAF's security experts are available to our members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency support. When a crisis occurs, we send emergency response teams to clinic sites to provide immediate, on-the-ground assistance. We perform security assessments at the clinics and homes of our members, and train clinic staff in practical, day-to-day procedures that could save their lives. We also meet with key law enforcement officials to educate them about the security needs of our members, and urge them to investigate and prosecute anti-choice criminal activities. More
Access to abortion services is limited by a shortage of qualified abortion providers. Meanwhile, there are significant gaps in abortion training opportunities for medical students, residents, and advanced practice clinicians. We facilitate training partnerships between our clinics and residency training programs to provide "hands-on" abortion training and develop training curricula and other clinical materials for health care providers. Our Clinicians for Choice program continues to grow and currently represents nearly 6,000 advanced practice clinicians who advocate for choice. More
NAF's Patient Partnership collects the real-life stories of women who have had abortions and are willing to share their experiences with the media, pro-choice advocates, and legislators. When the public is inundated with anti-choice rhetoric, we work with members of our Patient Partnership to ensure that their voices are also heard. They put a compelling human face on abortion and portray the adverse consequences of anti-choice policies. More
NAF provides the medical and clinical response to the misinformation and unfounded claims that are spread by anti-choice advocates working to obstruct access to abortion care, and to undermine Roe v. Wade. Because our membership includes the leading experts in the field of abortion, we develop authoritative, research-based medical information about abortion issues, and distribute it widely to the public, the media, pro-choice advocates, and legislators. We also meet with and send educational information to key reporters and editors who work on abortion stories, and contact them when we discover bias or inaccuracy. More
As the leader in providing abortion training to health care professionals in North America, NAF is now also working in partnership with international health organizations to conduct in-country abortion training for physicians and nurses in selected countries where abortion is legal. Individuals can help us expand this work with gifts that will allow us to increase our ability to communicate regularly with international providers, and provide them with educational resources and support.
